I love this flat iron.

I love curling with it as well as flattening the hair.

Kenra Hot Spray is the "bomb"!

Spider Woman

This was for Halloween.

We had a contest at school last October (2011) so I wanted to create a hairstyle without using props in her hair.

Lots of teasing.

Up-Do Please, make that two, with fries on the side.

I love these long haired mannequin heads we have here at school.

I do try to get before pictures when I remember.

Here is the first style.

Half french twist and the other half messy bun.

This is the second style.

These mannequins are not like the rest. 

Their hair is synthetic so we are not allowed to use heat on them.

I like using them because it's a challenge for me.

Today I wanted to try something new.

I saw this haircut technique and wanted to try it out.

I found this mannequin at the Salvation Army for $1.50.

You section out the bangs, twist and cut.

This is a before picture I took.

She needed a shampoo and blow dry for this cut.

Section out the bangs next.

Pull down tight then just see what I did in the pictures.

I am not great at explaining all this.

Then you do the same effect to the sides.

The back needed some cutting to make it all blend together.

Then I used the flat iron to give it a little more style.

And then she lived happily ever after.

I love doing french braids.

This style has been around a long time.

And don't forget the flower.

Don't Put it Off til Tomorrow

Right now I am in Beauty college (for the second time) Only cause my cosmetology license expired 9 years ago. I should be done this April. I have been doing lots of hairstyles and want to show them to my friends and family by doing a blog. I love doing up-dos. Just give me a comb, some bobby pins and lots of hairspray LOL. I like to use flowers for a finishing touch. This blog is also one of my New Years resolutions. I have been putting this off for awhile. I have a lot of photos to share but not all in one day. This blogging thing is new to me so I hope I get better at it as I go along. My hubby and I have been married 13 years today. Just wanted to mention that. I will try to post regularly on this subject I love.
